About the Author

Ine De Volder (Belgium) is a creative jack-of-all-trades. In addition to her work as a kindergarten teacher and author, she is constantly looking for new ways to realize her dreams and ideas. In the past, Ine participated in a magazine for toddlers, wrote children's poetry, and made a number of educational editions for schools.

Evie Mariek Meij (2004) is a self-taught illustrator with a great love for nature. She moved to a small village in the north of the Netherlands at a young age, in an area full of woods and lakes. During her childhood, she camped once a year on the island of Vlieland with her parents and sister, where her love for nature began.

During high school, Evie's interest in drawing and painting grew, especially during art classes. In December 2018, she released her first nature-inspired illustrations, which were very well received by the public. After high school, she trained as a visual arts and design teacher, enabling her to pass on her passion for illustration to others through courses and other educational activities.

In the spring of 2024, Evie debuted as a picture book illustrator with Animals and Their Toilet Rituals (Clavis Publishing).
