Synopsis
The Legend of Esperanza Bridge is a short story, set in the late 1800s of Appalachia, about two feuding villages and the events that occur to change longstanding resentment. The children of both communities have wisdom that eludes most of the adults.
A couple from Peru offer their devotion and energy to transform the situation after visiting a female shaman. What can the couple do to become the bridge of hope?
There is a unique dose of magical realism and an actual historical event intertwined with elements of human nature and the divine. This story is packed with very well-thought-out symbolism.
Esperanza Bridge is the setting for an upcoming romantic story Las Palomas, Doves of Love and Peace.
