About the Author
James E. Demmert is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Main Street Research, an investment and wealth management firm with offices in Manhattan, Greenwich and Lakeville, CT, as well as Sausalito, CA.
James is a seasoned and accomplished investment manager with over 35 years of experience in all aspects of investment management. He has a deep understanding of investment and wealth management, with a particular emphasis on macroeconomic analysis and risk management. He is responsible for creating the firm's Active Risk Management processes and unique Performance-Based Fee structure.
James has the distinction of being named one of Barron's Top Advisors for the past few years and one of the coveted Forbes Top Advisors. He regularly appears on CNBC, Bloomberg, CBS News, and Reuters, and he and his work are often quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and Forbes. James has been named one of the Top 100 People in Finance and is a member of the CFA Institute and Financial Planning Association.
