Synopsis

You recognize the face. You remember the conversation. But their name? Gone.

Remembering names is a skill you can practice. In How to Remember Names, professional mentalist Kevin Viner teaches a practical, visual approach to connecting the names you hear with the faces you meet.

At the heart of the method are the 3Cs: Caricature, Code, and Change—a framework for turning names into memorable images and linking those images to facial features.

Inside, you’ll learn how to:

• Turn names into vivid mental images that are easier to remember.

• Connect a person’s name to their face using the 3Cs.

• Build your skills with name examples and face-based practice exercises.

• Apply the approach when meeting clients, colleagues, and new friends.

This concise guide combines clear explanations with opportunities to practice. You don’t need a photographic memory—just a willingness to use your imagination and put the techniques to work.

Kevin Viner is a professional mentalist who has performed for clients including Jeff Bezos, Howard Schultz, Alicia Keys, and Kim Kardashian. Here, he shares a memory skill with value far beyond the stage: helping people feel recognized and remembered.
