A fierce love for Jesus, for the tradition of iconography, and for this precious planet Earth. And because of this love and out of this love, she is willing to question and expose the areas where we may have limited the divine, where growth is needed, and where perhaps we can do better. Mary Jane's Christ occupies a much larger box than many. And because of her fearless questioning, she is constantly poking holes in that box, expanding it and letting the light in. Her How to Books, instruction books on the ancient technique of iconography, essays, and collections ask for and encourage new conclusions within a Bible-based religion. Sacred art and this ancient spiritual practice are indeed intimately linked to the divine.
