About the Author

Heather Stewart is a mother, wife, poet, and Navy veteran. She served in a variety of commands in a variety of locations as well as among the women who integrated female enlisted on submarines and an overseas tour to Italy. Her poems relate her experience of life and the Navy. Since retirement, she enjoys time with her family in a small town near New Orleans, Mardi Gras, crawfish, and growing her own tea garden.
