Technical skill matters. So does understanding how decisions are made, how trust is earned, and what executives expect from the people they work with.

Drawing on more than thirty-five years of leadership, Raymond Auger offers short, candid maxims for professionals and consultants working inside or alongside large American enterprises.

Written for the people doing the work, this field guide also gives leaders a practical resource to share with their teams and consultants a clearer understanding of the organizations they serve.

INSIDE, YOU'LL EXPLORE:

- The reality of enterprise meetings

- How consultants earn client trust

- The expectations that shape executive perception

- How to navigate organizational dynamics and ambiguity

A practical guide to recognizing the unwritten rules and exercising better judgment without changing who you are.

HOW THIS BOOK RELATES TO THE ORIGINAL:

Unspoken Rules: Weaponized Common Sense for the Real Corporate Game was written primarily for experienced managers and senior professionals applying these lessons themselves. This revised and expanded Field Guide shifts the emphasis toward their teams and the professionals and consultants working with American enterprises.

For leaders who know the original: the first book was for you; this book is for your people.

The two books share substantial material. Readers who already own the original should expect significant overlap, with revisions and additional guidance reflecting the Field Guide's audience and focus.
