Four Wheels and a Rumble: A Bedtime Story About a Little Puppy's Big Discovery (Six Inches Above the Ground) - Softcover
Book 2 of 6: Six Inches Above the Ground
Synopsis
Somewhere in the flowers, a puppy was lost and crying. And far away, a little girl's heart was breaking.
Diana and her family were visiting from Europe, and when they had to drive on, her puppy Schnitzel was left behind. Pepper is only six inches tall, but when she finds Schnitzel crying in the tall grass, she will not leave him there.
Lost Dog posters lead the way: on a tree by the road, at a gas station, at a charging station, even on the back of a logging truck. The ink is still wet. So close, and yet so far! Then, as the evening lights come on, Pepper hears a rumble and sees a warm light through the trees...
With short, rhythmic sentences made for reading aloud, this heartwarming lost-and-found journey gently shows children that:
- small helpers can do big things
- kindness means not walking away from someone who needs you
- never giving up wins the day
