AB(zero)C is an alphabet book that gives children information, courage and hope. Each rhyming verse embodies a concept that can open discussion between parent and child about what is happening, how we will face it and ways we can live on our wounded planet without wounding it further. About the Author
Randi Hacker has been giving children a voice in their future since 1989, when, after quitting her job as Editor of The Electric Company Magazine (published by Children's Television Workshop), she and her former partner, Jackie Kaufman, created, wrote, edited and published Planet Three: The Earth-based Magazine for Kids. P3 was an influential (if short-lived) eco-magazine that empowered children to act on behalf of their home planet. At its peak, it reached 20,000 readers worldwide. She is the author of the young adult novel, Life As I Knew It (Simon & Schuster, 2006) which was named one of the Books for the Teen Age 2007 by the NY Public Library. Her book How to Live Cheap, Green and Happy (Stackpole, 1995), enjoyed a brief cult following, and her TV show, Windy Acres (Kingdom County Productions, 2004), which she co-wrote with Jay Craven, was broadcast on Vermont Public Television and was nominated for a New England Emmy for Writing, She is the author of Life on a Different Planet, a climate crisis handbook and M is for Masks, a coronavirus alphabet. She currently works as a Resolution copy editor for the Vermont State Legislature.Mary Camille Connolly is a New York-based illustrator and graphic designer. Her favorite subjects to paint are animals, food and nature, and just people being themselves.
