En el archivo de la catedral de Toledo se conserva un conjunto de libros, denominados de Obra y F�brica, en los que se anotaban los ingresos y gastos que se produc�an en la instituci�n a lo largo del a�o. En ellos quedaban minuciosamente registradas todas las entradas de dinero y todos los desembolsos realizados en los distintos conceptos que estaban al cargo de la Obra, entre los que ocupaba un lugar de primer orden la construcci�n y mantenimiento del templo. No todos han llegado hasta nuestros d�as. Esta publicaci�n lleva a cabo un estudio promenorizado del segundo m�s antiguo conservado, primero de los correspondientes al siglo XV.
