AEGIS: The Rift: Book 2 of the Children's Urban Fantasy, Action & Adventure Series (Aegis Series)

BEHIND THE VEIL OF THIS WORLD, BATTLE LINES ARE BEING DRAWN

The fate of the world rests upon the slender shoulders of a young teenager named Graham Dawson, who harbors the prophesied power capable of tipping the delicate balance between good and evil. Silas’ attempt to take Graham at Catalyst Grove has failed, but he did not leave empty-handed.

In finding the grove, he destroyed over half of the AEGIS training facilities around the world and unearthed the hidden locations of key AEGIS outposts. This revelation lays bare the vulnerability of Alex’s entire network and exposes his people to the impending onslaught by VICTUS. With the outposts now compromised, Graham now finds himself thrust into an epic battle where he must train to become useful on the battlefield before uniting with other AEGIS warriors and deploying on tactical missions to defend their three remaining outposts. The stakes couldn't be higher; if Victus seizes the Aegis outposts, they will mercilessly exterminate the Aegis people, gain control of their powerful networks, and use Graham to usher in an era of darkness.

New alliances will form. New powers will be revealed, and the battle will rage as the inevitable collision of the two immortals grows ever nearer. The beginning of the end has come.

"AEGIS: The Rift" is an enthralling coming-of-age tale that weaves together elements of fantasy, adventure, and magic realism. Graham's journey from an ordinary orphan to an unexpected hero sets the stage for an epic battle between light and dark, promising an unforgettable adventure where destiny and power intersect in truly extraordinary ways.

Interview with the Author

Q - What makes the AEGIS Series so unique?
I am a huge fan of epic adventures. I loved The Chronicles of Narnia and Lord Of The Rings and always acted out fight scenes in my head as a child. I thrive on the stories of the classic clash of good vs. evil. I also appreciate clean stories that don't rely on rash language and questionable intimate scenes. Great stories don't need those. A solid plot, relatable characters, hard decisions, strong moral fiber, and nail-biting action carry a series to greatness. We all want themes that stick with us long after we are finished reading, ones that make us think deeply. Yeah, that is what sets this apart... and, of course, I have developed the story to keep you turning the pages in anticipation. You may hate me for making you stay up all night to finish!

Q - What books are in the series?
Another unique aspect of the AEGIS series is the Character Stories. These are novelettes based on each main character in the series to give you a glimpse into the extraordinary circumstances that shaped them into who they are today. These novelettes can be read in any order, but I suggest reading Catalyst Grove before diving in. Here is what is out so far:

NOVEL SERIES

1. AEGIS: Catalyst Grove
2. AEGIS: The Rift
3. AEGIS: The Frozen Throne (in process)
4. +1 more planned

CHARACTER NOVELETTES

1. Recollection: Graham Dawson
2. Mission Alpha: Eric Branson
3. + many more to come!

Q - So, why should readers give these books a try?
Readers will likely enjoy the book if they enjoy: - Adventurous storylines - Epic battles - Clean reading - Strong, relatable characters - An urge to wage war against the forces of darkness - Deep, meaningful moral undertones - Mystery - Special Powers (superhero/superpowers you ask? I guess you will have to read and see :) )

Enjoy!
