Presumed early reprint (copyright 1829 but probably circa 1840). 72 pages. Hardcover: H 15cm x L 9.5cm. Quarter leather - black leather spine with marbled paper boards. Scuffing to spine with shallow chip to head; spine's gilt lettering "Robert Benton" remains bright; abrasions and rubbing to boards with corners well worn. Old writing in both pencil and antiquarian ink on front pastedown and ffep recto and verso with inscription dated Dec 25, 1844 which is probably more contemporary to the book's publication than the 1829 copyright. Toning and moisture stains to leaves. Several b/w illustrations inset amongst text. Binding is firm. With title page printed device "Revised by the Committee of Publication. AM. S.S.U.".
