--/No Dustjacket. 1916. On Dec. 24th., 1916 he wrote to John A. Rider of Binghamton. 1 page of 4 pages. He mentions that he sent a separate letter to Congressman Fairchild about an endorsement. This handwritten letter is on the letterhead of State of New York, Department of Excise, George E. Green, Commissioner, Albany. Congressman Fairchild was a big investor in International Time Recorder Co. and later IBM. George Green was born in Kirkwood 1858. A businessman and politician who became the Mayor of Binghamton, a New York State Senator as well as President of International Time Recorder [IBM] for a short period. In "1903, Green was arrested for conspiracy in connection with the sale of time-recording clocks and canceling machines (supplied by the Doremus Machine Co.) to the Post Office. After many delays, he was tried in February 1906 in the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia; and was acquitted." - Wikipedia. He died in 1917. .
