What makes you... YOU?

Every family has special nicknames—little names filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. But what happens when someone calls you something unkind?

I'm Always Underneath Me is a heartwarming children's picture book that helps young readers discover one of life's most important truths: your identity is never defined by the names other people give you.

Through the eyes of Maribeth, children experience the joy of affectionate family nicknames, the sting of teasing at school, and the comforting realization that underneath every label, every nickname, and every opinion is the person they have always been.

With gentle storytelling, beautiful illustrations, and relatable family moments, this inspiring book teaches children to:

• Build confidence and healthy self-esteem
• Celebrate their unique identity
• Understand the difference between loving nicknames and hurtful labels
• Stand strong against teasing and bullying
• Practice kindness and empathy toward others
• Appreciate the love and encouragement of family and true friends

The book also includes engaging reflection and activity pages that encourage children to explore their own interests, talents, dreams, and personal identity, making it perfect for meaningful conversations at home and in the classroom.

Perfect for parents, grandparents, teachers, counselors, homeschool families, and anyone helping children grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

Because no matter what anyone calls you… you'll always be YOU underneath.
