Complete 17 volume set includes scarce index, which is volume 17. Three quarter tan morocco leather bound covers with 7 raised bands over marbled boards. Spine panels are toned with some light crackling to the leather on just a couple of volumes; leather on front and rear boards has some light peeling of top layer; corners and bottom edges of covers are frayed, exposing the boards; marbled boards are scuffed but clean and bright. Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Marbled page edges all the way around somewhat faded but still colorful. Marbled end sheets and paste downs are clean, bright, and in excellent condition. Pages are lightly toned but clean and near pristine. Illustrated througout in b&w plus numerous color maps.
