Per l'analisi sono stati presi in considerazione i treni di ingranaggi cilindrici ed elicoidali senza ruota folle. I treni di ingranaggi sono stati modellati in SOLIDWORKS e analizzati con il software ANSYS workbench. I materiali degli ingranaggi per questo studio includono acciaio, ghisa e lega di alluminio. In questo studio, le sollecitazioni di contatto e le sollecitazioni di flessione degli ingranaggi cilindrici ed elicoidali sono calcolate teoricamente utilizzando la teoria hertziana e la formula di Lewi per tutti e tre i materiali. L'analisi corrispondente � stata effettuata utilizzando l'analisi agli elementi finiti (FEA). I risultati del calcolo teorico e dell'analisi FEA vengono confrontati tra loro. Si osserva che i risultati dei calcoli teorici e dell'analisi FEA sono in buon accordo tra loro. Si osserva che le sollecitazioni indotte sull'ingranaggio cilindrico in lega di alluminio sono minori rispetto a tutte le altre combinazioni. Viene eseguita l'analisi di fatica sull'ingranaggio cilindrico in lega di alluminio.
