Obtaining digital information as evidence on mobile devices requires the role of forensics, specifically mobile forensics, a new branch of computer digital forensics. This book aims to be a foundation for undergraduate students by offering several scenarios that are highly likely to occur in real life when revealing Android based digital crime, such as data extraction on smartphones using Stock ROM and Custom ROM. While Stock ROM is built in ROM by Android manufacturer, Custom ROM is often regarded as third party modification of Android device. The scenarios are given both in normal conditions and data recovery on smartphones using Stock ROM and Custom ROM that have been subjected to hiding criminal activities and data such as deleting contacts, files chat and many more. The scenario testing was carried out over the several mobile phones in the given scenarios in order to enrich case studies which are useful for students.
