Reprint of the 1946 original. 200, (4) PP with 16 maps, 184 b/w photos and 4 b/w plates by Miguel Covarrubias. Fp: Human figure surmounted by a bird, from the Sepik River, New Guinea. Hard covers, title in red lettering on front board and spine. Fine. 26 x 19.5. Nota: the 4 "Colour Reproductions" of the original edition by Miguel Covarrubias, were printed in b/w in this "Library Grade" edition.
