Services Libray BiSL® is begonnen in Nederland, zo'n tien tot vijftien jaar
geleden. Deze libraries beschrijven het werk van applicatiebeheerders (ASL) en
van functioneel beheerders en informatiemanagers (BiSL) door middel van een
procesmodel en tal van praktijkervaringen in de vorm van 'best practices'.
In de afgelopen jaren hebben vele grote en kleine organisaties zich door dit
gedachtegoed laten inspireren om hun informatievoorziening op een hoger plan
te tillen. Inmiddels zijn ASL en BiSL begonnen aan een opmars buiten Nederland.
De libraries zijn beschikbaar in het Engels en delen ervan ook in talen als Pools, Russisch, Japans en Chinees. Van ASL is bovendien een ISO-standaard in de maak.
Al vanaf het begin wordt het gedachtegoed beheerd door een stichting, de ASL
BiSL Foundation. Deze stichting wilde graag organisaties belonen voor hun
toepassing van ASL en BiSL. Zo ontstond de jaarlijkse competitie om de ASL BiSL
Trofee, die later werd voorafgegaan door een award verkiezing, waar bronzen,
zilveren en gouden awards werden uitgereikt.
Om ook van deze praktijkvoorbeelden te leren, hebben we tien winnaars van de
ASL BiSL Trofee en Awards opgezocht en gevraagd naar hun verhaal over de
competitie. Waarom ze hun casus instuurden, wat de toepassing van ASL of BiSL
voor hun organisatie opleverde, hoe het was om een prijs te winnen en hoe het
hen nadien verging. Hun ervaringen zijn opgetekend in deze bundel.

All books are carefully packed and shipped twice a week, usually on Mondays and Fridays. We ship worldwide using standard services, and shipping costs are calculated automatically through the AbeBooks system.
