The firm's projects to date include offices, housing, industrial buildings, research laboratories, retail, new buildings and renovation, urban planning, interior design and programming. ASSAR's success is a result of its desire to design a contemporary, contextually appropriate architecture.

Other projects featured include Belgium's first new military academy in more than a century and the now NATO headquarters (in association with SOM). Active in the development market - as demonstrated by three MIPIM Awards won in Cannes. France, in 2000, 2005 and 2006 for Residence Novalis, Mondrian and Madou Plaza respectively - ASSAR has participated in and won numerous competitions.
