Handwritten in ink on Ardizzone's personal notepaper 250 x 202 mm, 10 x 8 inches, headed with his printed name and 130 Elgin Crescent address: "Dear Jim, I was delighted to get your long letter. I envy you your 6 bedroomed house in the Isle of Man which I have always heard is beautiful. I hope you will be in town again very soon, then you must come and see us. The studio is always full of bargains for cash customers. Yours ever Ted". A few pale fox spots, folded once, slight light creasing to margins, 5 mm (¼") closed tear to lower edge, reverse lightly browned on fold. The addressee has not been traced.
