Add to basketAarhus; Jydsk Forlags-Forretning, 1901. 19,5x15 cm. 162 pp. With numerous b&w illustrations throughout the text. Contemporary, dark-green half morocco binding with a nicely-gilt spine, marbled boards, and sprinkled edges. Front wrapper is bound in. Light spotting on the first and last leaves. Contents are a little toned. A handsome, well-preserved copy. Aarhus, which has its roots in an 8th-century Viking settlement, is today a city and educational center with more than 300,000 residents. Nielsen's book offers the reader an interesting description of life in Aarhus in the 1840s, when it was still a small provincial town.
