Abiding in Christ 31 Day Devotional, August Issue

Stop striving. Start abiding.

Many Christians are exhausted. They are trying to produce fruit for God—patience, love, joy—through sheer willpower. But Jesus never asked us to produce fruit on our own; He asked us to stay connected to the Vine. Our life in Christ is meant to be a life of trusting in our Creator, because God will always take care of the one who loves Him. It’s a promise!

In ABIDING IN CHRIST, the eighth volume of the 12-part Changing Seasons Series, author Paul V. Lundmark invites you into the rest of God. This 31-day August devotional is a journey out of "religious performance" and into a deep, organic relationship with your Heavenly Father. It is about moving from visiting God on Sunday to dwelling with Him every single moment.

A Note to the Reader: While this 31-day devotional is designed as the August volume of The Changing Seasons Series, the powerful truths inside are not bound by the calendar. You can start this journey of Abiding in Christ at any time of the year, individually or with a Bible study group!

As the Apostle Paul states in Galatians 5:16, “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” This book will show you exactly how to do that.

Inside this devotional, you will discover:

• The Vine Principle: Why "trying harder" doesn't work, and how staying connected naturally creates perfection and fruit.

• The Power of the New Creature: How to step into the heart of God, discern truth from error, and live a lifestyle of love and forgiveness.

• Spiritual Authority: How abiding in Christ helps you walk in God's favor, experience answered prayer, and break the enemy's strongholds.

• The Law of Faith: Moving beyond simple mental agreement to a heart-level trust that moves mountains.

• Heartfelt Poetic Reflections: Special, God-inspired poetry written by Paul's wife, Gleneva, providing beautiful moments of pause and grace throughout your 31-day journey.

A branch doesn't struggle to grow grapes; it simply holds on to the vine. If you are tired of the struggle, this book will show you the secret of the Vine. Yes, Abiding in Christ is an exciting place to be—as we abide in Him and walk in the Spirit, we fulfill the very plan of God!

"To abide means to stay fixed. It is keeping your eyes on the goal ahead. When we abide, the fruit comes naturally." — Paul V. Lundmark
