Absences: Poetry

“ Absences makes visible for us the internal semiotic anatomy of our present global civilization..an astonishing achievement of verbal incantation and neoelectric shamanism." —from the Afterword by John David Ebert (Art After Metaphysics)

Transderivational searches in Absentia is what I called the concept-poietic experimentation I began in earnest in 2012. I had to start from scratch, from the absences; and then with the basic neurolinguistic morphemes of Lines, Globes, and Codes I had a simple toolkit for a personal form of psychic cartography by which I could map the new Medial landscapes that have blown up around us since the end of the 20th Century and trace various semiotic objects vaporized by Digitization and Telematics. Some of that work was collected here.—MAK

His latest book "CLOUDS: Poetry/Hypermodernity" (2020) is the second part or "division" of what Kamins calls 'Trandsderivational Searches in Absentia'-- a poetical experiment first publicized in 2014 with ABSENCES (Poetry): the first part of the perceptual-semiotic and neurolinguistic mapping of the 'Absences' or "being-in-Absentia."
