Nach der israelischen Staatsgr�ndung von 1948 war es ausgerechnet die Bundesrepublik, die zur wichtigsten Unterst�tzerin des J�dischen Staates wurde. Reparationen, Waffenlieferungen und Finanzmittel halfen, aus dem existenziell bedrohten Land eine Regionalmacht zu machen. Kein Wunder, dass Israel die ausgestreckte deutsche Hand annahm: eine andere Wahl hatte es kaum. Von Vers�hnung aber war keine Rede. Niemand machte sich dar�ber Illusionen, dass in Deutschland ehemalige Nationalsozialisten Karriere machten - und mit der Israelhilfe ihre blutigen H�nde in Unschuld wuschen.
