Contempory mottled leather binding w/gilt lines on spine. 138 p.; illus., 30 plates; 19 cm. Prepared by a Board of Officers that included Winfield Scott, Zachary Taylor and William H. Sumner. 3/4" chip at top of spine; back board separated, held on by a thread; front joint intact but starting. Text block is tight, tanned with age, with some scattered foxing. All plates present; depict handling and firing of arms, order of battle and battlefield manuvers. Musical notations for bugle calls. Size: Duodecimo (12 mo; up to 7 3/4" / 17.5-20 cm tall).
