A facsimile edition from the original MS. by Thomas Dineley of this account of Henry Somerset through Wales. A facsimile edition. In the publisher's original red cloth binding. By photo-lithography from the original MS. of Thomas Dineley, an English antiquary of the seveteenth century, in the posession of his Grace, the Eighth Duke of Beaufort. With a preface by Richard W. Banks. Henry Somerset, the 1st Duke of Beaufort, was an English politician who sat in theHouse of Commons at various times between 1654 and 1667. The Dukedom of Beaufortwas bestowed upon him byKing Charles II in 1682. Illustrated throughout, with a folding map, a folding plate, and a list of subscribers. In the publisher's original cloth binding.Externally, smart. Fading to spine, with bumping to the head and tail. Marks to rear board. Spotting to endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Some leaves remain uncut. Very Good.
