This book has been prepared for two kinds of student: those who already have some knowledge of book-keeping and elementary accounting and those who have no knowledge at all, but need accounting as part of a business or other professional course. The emphasis throughout is upon accounting procedures, also on the significance of accounting statements and their use. The exercies are divided into two series. In the first the questions are, in general, short and straightforward, designed to test the reader's understanding of the subject matter. The questions in the second series, to which no answers are given, are wider in range and have been chosen to develop the student's understanding of the topics discussed. The examples and exercises have been given in sterling, but can easily be converted to the currencies of other countries where appropriate. 275 pp.(We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.). …
