First AMS Edition, 1968. Hardcover in blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Clean and unmarked. Reprint of the Camden Society edition, originally published in 1867. One fold-out illustration. xxiii + 134 pages. Sources on the history and fate of Mary Queen of Scots (1542-1587). The volume is divided into two parts, the first consisting of papers relating to the expenses incurred in the maintenance of Mary Queen of Scots during the last two years of her captivity in England, and to her funeral (with index). The second part contains a Justification of Queen Elizabeth in relation to her treatment of Queen Mary. Includes a fold-out chart of the Standard & Great Banner procession order at Mary, Queen of Scots' funeral.
