Yiling Hu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Information Technology at East China Normal University. She is a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2016. Her research interests include educational data mining and learning analytics.

Xiaoqing Gu is a Professor in the Department of Education Information Technology at East China Normal University. Her research interests include learning analytics, learning sciences and technology, and CSCL. She is editorial board member of British Journal of Educational Technology, Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, the Internet and Higher Education, and Educational Technology Research & Development.
