This 8.125 x 10.25 inch, 55 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is a handsome copy of this circa 1968 printing of this title by Lewis Osborne ? with the stated limitation of 1400 copies. This book is in fine condition with only the slightest touch of wear showing to the edges of the blue-cloth covers ? with gilt decoration and titling. The interior text is strictly fine with no handling wear or markings showing. The plain grey dust wrapper as issued is in very good condition ? with wear and sun-fading showing at the folds ? and with a touch of wear showing to the edges ? but overall the wrapper is in at least very good condition. This book gives the recollections of Virginia Reed Murphy as first published for the Century Magazine some 40 years after the Donner Party experience. She was a member of that party as a young girl and her recollections give a poignant insight into the extremes of that tragic story. 55 pages.
