Norman, who describes herself as an activist artist, has been the proprietor of theÊWindowpane Press since 1978. Before moving to her current home of Seattle, Norman lived and printed in Southern California for over two decades. She began her career at Jake ZeitlinÕs Red Barn in Los Angeles,ÊworkedÊfor Patrick Reagh, and maintained a longtime friendship with Saul Marks, who inspired her own printing. SheÊwas Studio DirectorÊat the WomanÕs Building in Los Angeles after Susan King,Êone of the foundersÊof theÊBook ArtsÊprogram. In Seattle, NormanÊis a pastÊco-chair of the Northwest Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers, as well as a member of Book Arts Guild,ÊPuget Sound Book Artists,ÊandÊThe Book Club of Washington. Our office is located in Los Angeles on West Third Street, between the Beverly Center and Farmer's Market. Though we gave up an open shop after more than thirty years, we welcome serious customers and dealers. We are normally open from 10 to 6 Monday through Saturday. Since some of our less expensive books are located in a temperature-controlled storage area offsite, you may want to call ahead of time to insure that the book you want to see will be available. We feature a stock strong in literature, history, Western philosophy, history of science, history of computers, and art. We are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers. We have books from the 15th to the 20th century in all prices ranges.
