The Acupuncture Points Functions Colouring Book

This book presents a fun and practical way of learning the functions of acupuncture points on the twelve primary and eight extra channels..

Students are invited to colour and doodle their way through the sequence of images on each channel in turn embellishing anything they find difficult to remember or recall. Through the drawings the author offers her own imaginative visual representation of each point based on translations of the Chinese point names. The text page opposite each set of drawings provides a quick cross reference for the student, with a simple list of the point names and the main functions relating to each. Angela Hicks qualified as an acupuncturist in 1976. She is co-founder and joint principal of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading, UK, where she teaches and is a clinical supervisor. Angela is also a practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine and regularly practices qigong. She is joint Chair of the Council of Heads for Acupuncture Courses (CHAC).

John Hicks is joint principal and co-founder of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. He has been a practising acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist for 35 years. John graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa, in 1974, then underwent postgraduate clinical training in Nanjing in 1986 and trained in herbs with Ted Kaptchuk in 1987. He is author of several books on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and teaches herbs and formulae on the Chinese herbal medicine courses at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. He lives in Reading, UK.
