Addiction: Birth to Recovery

The opportunity to understand the type of person we have become, and the necessity for change!

I am a 14 year recovering alcoholic/addict who developed an "addictive personality" at a young age in an attempt to be accepted and to "just feel good" all the time. I made inapproprate decisions in regard to my health, finances, living situations, employment and relationships that eventually led to numerous incarcerations. When the consequences became so negative, I sought help through a 12-Step Recovery program. I was taught how to "CHALLENGE" my internal belief system to the point of creating a 'PERSONALITY CHANGE' sufficient enough to bring about recovery from my addiction.
