Addiction & Faith (Paperback or Softback)

Addiction Is Not a Life Sentence

Addiction is one of the most widespread and destructive health problems in the world today. More than twenty million Americans currently suffer from an active substance abuse disorder, while more than one billion people worldwide maintain regular addictions to intoxicating chemicals like alcohol and illicit drugs.

Why are traditional treatment programs so unproductive and ineffective? The answer to this question may lie within the fact that addictive behaviors should be addressed not just from a physical but also from a spiritual perspective.

Through the study of God's Word, addicts can be taught how to take advantage of the pragmatic powers of Christ and the Holy Spirit to wage war against their persistent addictive thoughts and behaviors.

Ultimately, this book has been written to help addicts learn to focus on the nature and bounty of God's love in order to permanently subdue their stubborn cravings for the seductive forbidden fruits of addiction.

"After many years of working in the field of chemical dependency, I have never found a more complete and insightful view of addiction, recovery, and spirituality." -Cindy Tidwell, MS, LPC, Professional
