About this Item

Original green printed wraps in landscape format 21 x 14cm. 12 + (1)pp including 3 b/w photos. Dated 12/47 to the printer's code. No author is indicated, but Mr Jack Harley is named as the Aden Agent on the back. Very good with some marks and previous owner's name inked to the front cover (G. Abercrombie). Extremely rare - not recorded on Worldcat or Jisc. Directed at passengers travelling via Aden on the Aberdeen and Commonwealth Line, this briefly introduces Aden (the Peninsula, Sheikh Othman, Perim), its history, dhows, products and trade. Noting "'The Barren Rocks' seen from the harbour may present an uninviting aspect", it encourages passengers to take suggested tours: A. Gold Mohur Bay and B. Ma'alla 30-45 minutes each; C. Crater 60 mins; and D Sheikh Othman 90 mins. Alternatively a circular B, C and D tour takes up to 3 hours.
