The second issue of this monthly magazine. Original staple-bound blue and red printed wraps illustrated with the RAF Khormaksar emblem 21x26cm. 32pp including several local adverts. Near fine. Extremely rare, unrecorded on Worldcat and Library Hub. "Nomad" was launched in July 1953, during relatively stable and economically flourishing times. This is reflected in the Editorial, which draws attention to two developments in July, notably, the departure of 8 Squadron for Cyprus ("Khormaksar is now a much quieter place, now that there are fewer noisy jets screaming about"), and the new Khormaksar - Lido bus service laid on by Salem Ali Abido ("in itself quite good but there are complaints that the fares are much too steep"). Articles describe 7 days' leave in Mukheiras (with the Rest House pictured), memoirs from a fictionalised RAF station in North Africa, the advantages of service over civil life (by Stations Careers Officer Squadron Leader A.B. Bingham), clubs (sailing, youth, aero modellers, photography, families), horses, ladies' page, the Vickers Trophy for Aden Communications Squadron (the most efficient Squadron of its type in the Middle East Air Force), sports (motorcycling, cricket including results for Hargeisa CCC and Aden Command, swimming), music, etc. Among the advertisers are Cowasjee Dinshaw, M. Yahooda's Universal Bazaar, Daryanani's, Shilay Yahooda's Australian Shop, Yassin's Store, Aden Airways, Kitty Kola, et al.…

Shipping terms
SHIPPING: Domestic and international shipping is tracked and insured with UPS. This has unfortunately meant an increase in domestic rates especially, and in most cases I am absorbing some of the increase. (I have moved away from Royal Mail owing to a series of problems).
DELIVERY DEADLINES: If you have a hard deadline for receipt that is before the processing time stated on Abe, eg, if you need it to arrive urgently before you travel or before a particular event, please contact me at the time of order to advise, so options can be discussed and steps taken to ensure it gets there in time.
RETURNS: Please return any items for refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, and contact me first with the reason for the return to establish whether postal costs will be included in the refund. If the item is not as described, I will cover the original and return post.
