About the Author

Marilyn McCusker Shannon and her husband, Ron, are the homeschooling parents of nine children. Marilyn holds a Master's in human physiology from Indiana University s Medical Sciences Program. Since 1983, she has taught human anatomy and physiology at the college level. She is also the author of Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition, now in its third edition. Rachael Yunis is a geneticist and director of Apologia Science. She holds advanced degrees in molecular genetics/developmental biology and biomedical ethics and serves on a hospital ethics committee. She has extensive experience writing and editing for health and medical journals and has homeschooled her three sons since 1998. Her husband, Sam, has a PhD and works at NASA. The Yunis family lives in Virginia.
