He completed his doctoral degree at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi-221005, India. He possesses 6 years of academic research experience. His specialization is Pharmaceutics, working on various drug delivery systems including controlled drug delivery systems, nanoemulsions, polymeric nanoparticles, lipid nanoparticles, nanocrystals, nanofibrous scaffolds, hydrogels, and microneedles for treating cancer, wounds, infections, and inflammatory disorders. Holding a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, his work focuses on developing targeted therapeutic interventions for cancer, inflammatory lung disorders, and chronic wounds. His research on modern therapeutics leverages deep expertise in extracellular vesicles, nanofibers, polymer chemistry, and microneedle technology. So far, he has contributed to 3 patents, more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and 25 book chapters published in reputed international journals, and edited 2 books. Dr. Mishra is a Professor and former Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University). Having earned his B. Pharm, M. Pharm as a Gold Medalist, and Ph.D. from the same institution, he has dedicated over 42 years to advancing pharmaceutical sciences. Throughout his career, Prof. Mishra has established a profound commitment to academic guidance, mentoring over 100 postgraduates, doctoral, and post-doctorate candidates. His research focuses on multiple emulsions, nanomedicine, targeted and rate-controlled drug delivery systems, pharmacokinetics, and bioavailability. This work has yielded over 300 publications, 220 abstracts, 50 book chapters, and 5 patents. With more than 14,000 citations and an h-index exceeding 60, his scholarly impact places him in the top 5% of global researchers as per SciRank Global Database.
