Home healthcare organizations operate at the intersection of clinical care, workforce management, financial oversight, quality improvement, scheduling, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Success requires more than delivering services in the home. It requires coordinated systems that protect patients, support employees, control costs, and maintain consistent standards across every visit.
Advanced Home Healthcare Operations** provides a practical and structured reference for administrators, agency owners, directors of nursing, clinical managers, supervisors, compliance professionals, consultants, and healthcare leaders responsible for home-based care operations.
This manual connects patient and resident services with the administrative systems required to operate a safe, efficient, financially responsible, and regulation-ready organization.
**Inside this manual, readers will explore:**
• Foundations of home healthcare operations
• Patient intake, admission, and service coordination
• Eligibility, referrals, and care transitions
• Assessment and individualized care planning
• Patient rights, dignity, choice, and communication
• Clinical supervision and interdisciplinary coordination
• Skilled nursing, therapy, aide, and support services
• Scheduling, routing, and visit management
• Workforce recruitment and onboarding
• Staff competency, education, and performance management
• Retention, engagement, and leadership communication
• Productivity and labor-cost management
• Documentation and health-record requirements
• Quality assurance and performance improvement
• Infection prevention and employee safety
• Emergency preparedness and continuity planning
• Incident reporting and risk management
• Billing, reimbursement, and revenue-cycle concepts
• Budgeting and financial oversight
• Purchasing, technology, and vendor management
• Complaint management and service recovery
• Survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Ethics, governance, and organizational accountability
This manual emphasizes practical operations rather than disconnected theory. It explains how clinical, administrative, financial, and compliance functions work together and how leaders can identify weaknesses before they develop into serious patient-care or business problems.
Readers will learn how to:
• Improve intake and care-coordination systems
• Strengthen scheduling and workforce utilization
• Support consistent documentation practices
• Monitor service quality and patient outcomes
• Prepare for surveys, audits, and compliance reviews
• Manage budgets, expenses, and reimbursement risks
• Respond to incidents and operational disruptions
• Improve communication across field and office teams
• Build leadership systems that support accountability
• Maintain readiness for growth and organizational change
This book is ideal for home-health administrators, agency owners, directors of nursing, clinical supervisors, operations managers, quality professionals, compliance officers, healthcare entrepreneurs, consultants, and students.
Whether you are launching an agency, managing an established organization, or preparing for greater leadership responsibility, this manual provides a dependable framework for the complex demands of modern home healthcare.
Create better service systems, stronger workforce leadership, responsible financial oversight, and greater regulatory readiness across your home healthcare organization.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
