In order to provide a platform to communicate the latest findings of researchers, to broaden understanding and to deepen insights into 'advances in the stability of metallic implants', we organized a Special Issue focused on this topic and ten articles have to date been published in the journal Metals. With the aim of facilitating reader access and ongoing research, we have compiled and published 10 articles from this Special Issue.
