Marc Silber is an award-winning photographer, filmmaker, and educator who has dedicated his career to helping people master the art of photography and visual storytelling. His passion for teaching and creative exploration has inspired photographers around the world through his books, workshops, and his popular YouTube series Advancing Your Photography.
Marc began his journey in photography in the 1960s, learning darkroom skills at the legendary Peninsula School in Menlo Park, CA, and later refining his craft at the San Francisco Art Institute — one of the nation's most respected centers for art and photography. As an early educator with the National Outdoor Leadership School, he learned how to teach complex, life-critical skills clearly — an approach that now defines his photography instruction.
