About the Author
A graphic designer and project commissioner, Gina Carpenter delights in producing card games, paper creations and art-inspired projects. She is a prolific crafter herself and often works in a team with other designers on craft books and series. This is her second book of projects. She lives in Surrey, England, and now works freelance while renovating houses and looking after her two sons.
Laura Hambleton graduated from the Norwich School of Art and Design in 2000 with a first class B.A (Honours) in Visual Studies. Since then, she has been based in London, building a successful career as a designer, author and illustrator of children's books, working for several prestigious publishers. Her first picture book, adapted from her final degree project was Commended winner of the 2002 V&A Award for Illustration. She was also long-listed for the Booktrust's The Big Picture, Best New Illustrators Award, in 2008. Laura presents her books and give workshops at festivals, bookstores, schools and activity centres throughout Britain. Her books have been widely praised in high profile reviews, including The Sunday Times and The Guardian.
