Adventure in the Rifle Brigade

8vo., 237pp. plus 16pp. publisher's catalog in rear. Sharp early edition of this classic first-hand account of the actions of the British Military during the Napoleonic Wars, Part of the Herbert Strang Library. Undated but almost certainly published in the 1920's. Bound in green cloth with letters and illustration stamped in green upon a cream background on front board and spine. Illustrated end-papers. Full-color frontis and one additional full-page color plate. Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning or foxing to pages but some mild scattered spotting to fore-edge. Just a touch of wear to spine ends and tips. Small, neat contemporary ownership signature on flyleaf. Fresh, bright and very well preserved. A very pretty collectable copy of a quite uncommon item particularly in such high-grade condition.
