The Adventures of Jhansi Rani: A Pet Squirrel
Tara loves her pet squirrel. This is a story of their adventures together. It all starts with a charming bed time story of an Indian warrior queen told by Ammamma ( Indian grandmother) to her American grandchild.
About the Authors
Priya Mary Sebastian is also the author of two adult books-a memoir/recipe book, "Organic Tales From Indian Kitchens," and a Hindu/Muslimromance novel set in 1960s India, "It's Hard To Run In A Sari." The author received her bachelor's degree in English language and literature from Calicut University, Kerala (India). She has been living in the United States for the past 43 years. Priya received an MBA from Centenary College, Louisiana, in 1989.Even at the age of 12, she had already started choreographing small dances for local events, and this involvement in dance and theater for youth continued for a long time. In her present hometown of Augusta, Georgia, many local Indian children got their first debut on stage because of her efforts. She has written many unofficial children's dramas. Priya Mary Sebastian is a strong proponent of the pivotal role played by arts, whether it be reading, drama, instruments, or theater, in the shaping of young minds.From 2004 to the present, she has run her restaurant, International Cafe' (formerly known as India Cafe'), as a meeting place for people to enjoy food from all parts of the world in a gracious and cozy atmosphere.
Minz Joseph is an illustrator who currently lives in San Diego with her husband, Anson, and baby son, Ira. She is originally from Chicago and finished her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University. She completed her Master in Science - biomedical visualization - from the Medical College of Georgia (Augusta University) in Augusta, Georgia. Minz has formal training as a medical illustrator and animator.Minz Joseph is currently working as an operations and account manager for a biomedical animation company that creates digital solutions for pharmaceuticals and medical device companies. She is also a versatile artist who does digital, oil, and acrylic portraits and landscapes. As an artist, she has done several iconographic paintings and murals for churches. As a gifted illustrator, she enjoys bringing ideas to life in living colors. Whether she is portraying complex scientific ideas or telling an exciting children's story, she loves the challenges pertaining to each situation.
