Author Carleigh Wu is a math coach who wants to help middle schoolers rethink their attitudes about math and their ability to do it well. Guided by research-based, high-impact teaching practices, she speaks directly to readers, providing them with information to build their resilience and confidence. By instilling a growth mindset, Wu shows readers that with practice and effort, they can get better at math. She even includes a writing challenge at the end of every chapter to help readers reflect on and digest what they’ve learned. Carleigh Wu is an elementary school teacher and math coach, and she often travels to different schools to mentor teachers and run professional development workshops.
