In The Adventures of Silver – Teak Learns to Tell Time, the gentle world of clocks and stories opens a little wider.

Teak wants to learn how to tell the time — but after feeling broken once before, he is afraid of getting it wrong again. With patience, kindness, and the quiet wisdom of Silver and Mercy, Teak begins learning at his own pace. Slowly, carefully, and without being rushed.

As the clocks in Mister Everett’s antique shop tick and chime, Teak discovers that time is not something to chase or fear. It is something to walk with.

This tender story weaves learning seamlessly into the adventure, exploring:

• telling time on clocks and phones,

• day time and night time,

• Roman numerals,

• and the gentle truth that learning often looks wobbly before it feels strong.

And just when readers think the story is over, a playful surprise invites them to look again — and notice something that has been quietly teaching them all along.

Written with warmth, humour, and heart, this book reminds children that mistakes are part of learning, and that time itself can be a friend.

Perfect for children aged 5–9, families, and classrooms — and for anyone who believes learning should feel safe, kind, and joyful.

The Adventures of Silver is a gentle story series set inside Mister Everett’s antique store — a place filled with old clocks, pocket watches, and objects that carry stories of their own. Silver is a small silver pocket watch and Mister Everett’s quiet companion. By day he helps keep time, and by night he listens, watches, and gently guides the other clocks as they learn, grow, and discover their place in the world.
