Wes Perrin has survived twenty-plus years of ad agency toil, plus another five
on the client side. He has worked for a multi-national corporation and for agencies
ranging in size from six to 150 staffers, on accounts ranging from answering machines to outdoor apparel to wood harvesters. In his career he has experienced almost
every aspect of the advertising business: written strategic plans, created copy, bought
media, supervised production, pitched campaigns and won new accounts, collected
past due bills, hired and fired. In 1977, with two outstanding partners, he founded Borders, Perrin and Norrander, and it quickly grew into one of the largest (and most award-winning) advertising agencies on the West Coast. He is the recipient of the Silver Medal Award from the American Advertising Federation, and has been named Advertising Professional of the Year by the Portland Advertising Federation.
