About the Author

Lyn Fiscus has been active in the field of student activities for nearly three decades. Her involvement has evolved from active advising to publishing and presenting about student activities. A former leadership class teacher and student activity adviser, Lyn served as editor of the award-winning Leadership for Student Activities

magazine for 12 years before founding Leadership Logistics, a company that provides writing, editing, training, and publishing services to support positive youth development. Lyn is the author of Adviser Essentials: Project Planning and Who Says You Can’t Change the World. She served as editor/writer of the National Leadership Camp Leadership Curriculum Guide and is co-author of The Bucks Start Here: Fundraising for Student Activities with Earl Reum. In 2005, she was the national recipient of the Earl Reum Award, given by the National Association of Workshop Directors in recognition of outstanding leadership and commitment to the promotion of excellence in student activities.
