Westfield College library bookplates to front pastedown, 'withdrawn stamp' to front free endpaper, library stamp to title page and last leaf of text. Hinges slightly strained, holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece and numerous in-text illustrations, as well as forty-two full page plates rich of illustrations.
